CHRIS HOUGHTON Director & Principal
Director of SCAPE Design, Chris Houghton is a Registered Landscape Architect able to provide a full range of services in urban design and landscape architecture from strategic, concept, masterplan, detail design, documentation, specification, construction supervision, quality review and visual impact assessment, which add to a range of experiences developed during his career over the past 20 years of landscape architectural practice. Working at a variety of scales, and committed to attaining the highest quality outcomes, Chris has accumulated a significant body of built projects in the design of public domain, transport infrastructure, commercial, institutional and residential projects across several states in Australia and has received several project awards.

ELISE ALDWORTH Senior Landscape Architect
Elise is a registered landscape architect with almost 20 years experience in the profession and has attained a diversity of skills, which enable her to work across a variety of projects from concept through to construction. Elise has worked in both Australia and the UK on projects that include parks, residential estates, road and cycle transport infrastructure, streetscapes, master planning and visual assessment. She has been involved with a variety of Roads and Maritime road infrastructure projects. Her specialist skills include landscape character and visual impact assessment, which extends to other infrastructure type projects including wind farms and port facilities. Elise is primarily focused on SCAPE Design’s transport infrastructure projects, and provides senior input to Assessments, urban design interdisciplinary review and concept design roles.

HENRY WEAVER Landscape Architect
Henry joined SCAPE Design in a student role in 2016 and has rapidly grown into competent and diligent member of the team. He undertakes design and management roles across a range of multi-discipline project types, including master planning, public domain design, transport infrastructure and residential design. Henry is continuing to develop his skills in concept development, construction documentation and detailed design and has a keen interest in the environment and landscape ecology, landscape infrastructure, systems and services, urban reclamation and the use of recycled materials within the public domain. Recent projects have involved the research of the use of smart technologies in the landscape, which has furthered his knowledge and skill set.

TINGTING REN Landscape Architect / Urban Designer
Tingting joined SCAPE Design in 2017 after graduating with a Masters of Urban Design from the University of Adelaide. Her core skills and interests have been demonstrated on our public domain and masterplanning projects, as well as multi-residential design projects. Prior to this she gained 6 years of experience on a range of projects from large scale tourism developments, waterfront redevelopment and redevelopment of historic sites, which built upon her landscape architecture studies in China. With her exposure to diverse cultural experiences and a multidisciplinary/multi-locational education in landscape architecture and urban design, she is able to work across a variety of project types Tingting shows initiative on all projects and is able to quickly ascertain the key project objectives and challenges in order to seek design solutions that add significant value to our projects.

NICOLAS DIAZ Urban Designer
Nicolas Diaz holds both Bachelor and Masters degrees in Architecture from Argentina and over the last six years, has been involved designing and documenting small and large scale projects in Australia and South America. During this time he developed a passion for the broader built-environment, particularly the integration of public domain with built form. His background as an Architect is a great asset to SCAPE Design and allows him to assist with Urban Design roles and the design of complex hardscapes and structures across several project types.

ZIYUE (ZIZI) ZUO Graduate Landscape Architect
Ziyue joined SCAPE Design in 2018 after completing her Master Degree of Landscape Architecture at the University of Adelaide. Her diverse design interest includes landscape architecture, urban design, architecture and land art. Through the landscape design related study in both Australia and China, she has developed solid skills on graphic presentation, software and hand drawing whilst her unique talent on concept generation and aesthetics has been well appreciated. Her skills and creativity are bringing fresh strength to Scape Design.

MITCHELL FLYNN Landscape Architect Graduate
Mitchell joined SCAPE Design in 2018 in the final year of his Bachelor Degree of Landscape Architecture at the University of NSW and has since expanded into a full time graduate role. Focusing on environmental and urban design aspects of landscape architecture, Mitch has become a valuable member of the team in a short space of time. He is currently developing his skills in the design and documentation of mixed-use and transport infrastructure projects. Mitch has strong visual communication skills, attention to detail and is able to assist with the development of problem-solving strategies within a team environment.

ELLA FARLEY Student Landscape Architect
Ella joined SCAPE Design in 2017 as a student while undertaking her Landscape Architecture degree at the University of Technology, Sydney. Ella assists the team in a range of projects across all of our project types including master planning, public domain design, transport infrastructure and residential design. Ella is embracing the opportunity to learn and develop her skills in design and construction documentation as well as expanding her knowledge of horticulture and concept development.

RENEE AUSTIN Business Development / Marketing
Renee comes to SCAPE Design with more than 25 years in strategic marketing, design and business management experience. As Business Development Manager, her role will be to drive business growth via the implementation of marketing and lead generation initiatives.
